This branch in the background compliments the intricate feathers of this bird perfectly. Their directions crossing in this way make for a wholesome composition that is underlined by the speckle of yellow on top of its beak in contrast to the blue body.
Bird feathers are an incredible source of color inspiration. This palette of dark blue with purple highlights and and bright yellow accents around the beak drew me right in.
Again fascinated by a bird’s gorgeous color palette I felt like picking up my brush once more. The earthy tones of brown and olive bring out the stunning rose with spots of bright pink. But it’s the subtle sprinkles of yellow that tie it all together in the end.
